Sebastian Vettel broke a nearly 2 decades old record, held by Nigel Mansell since 1992, as he powered to his 15th pole position of year throughout being approved for that Brazilian Grand Prix at Circuito Jose Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo.

Vettel scorched around an overcast Interlagos circuit in one minute 11.918 seconds, the only real driver to use the 71 seconds zone having a staggering final lap within the session.

The 24-year-old German, who had equalled Nigel Mansell’s 1992 record of 14 in one Formula One season in the previous race in Abu Dhabi, went one step further in Sao Paulo and etched his title within the record books all over again.

His team mate Mark Webber managed to get an exciting Red-colored Bull front row from the power grid as he too shipped a remarkable lap to complete second fastest, .181 seconds lower on his world champion team mate.
